I absolutely love your photographs of the ‘old’ Barbados especially the Bajans at work and home in Sugar Hill. Having lived there as a child in the late 70s and early 80s – and travelling and working there for many years in between – I experienced the older, untouched Barbados. Seeing your work is takes me back to those places. I can smell the salt air in Cattlewash and the clay smell from the earth in St. Joseph. Thank you for sharing your writing and photographs. They are very special.

Hello Graham – so happy that you are enjoying the site – bit by bit I’m getting the stuff up – those days in Sugar Hill were very special. We were down last year and I took some photos – quite alot of change like everywhere.
